![]() ![]() With 365 days in a year, that is a lot of manure. I typically clean up about a wheelbarrow full of stall bedding and manure every day. What follows are some of the reasons I use horse manure in my garden. ![]() That is when I brought my horse home and had to figure out what to do with all of his “stuff”. Just as there are pros and cons for everything in life, so it the case for using manure, horse manure to be exact, in the garden. One doesn’t want to see scrawny, sickly plants that are unable to live up to their potential. When one decides to garden whether it be for generating food or plants of a more ornamental nature, one wants the garden to do well. “We react squeamishly to shit, don’t we? But if we look into the matter you’ll see that it’s the most valuable substance on earth, all life comes from shit and returns to shit.” ![]()
